From the E16, exit by the Ulnes church and follow the signs to Panoramavegen. After approx. 4.5 km of driving upwards in Hippesbygda, exit to the left on a gravel road, next to a red warehouse, and continue towards Brattåsen. (Toll road, NOK 30 in 2010). Turn left about 1 km after Einarset. Continue for another 650m until you see a parking area on the right side of the road.
Follow the signs to Synet. Once you reach the top you will find a log book as well as an information board with the names and heights of approx. 50 peaks in the area. A nice view of Valdres and Jotunheimen.

Alternative starting point at Gomobu (approx. 6 km and 1.5-2 hrs. to the top, suitable for children from 5-6 yrs.). This can be combined with a round trip via Valtjernstølan.
