Description

Length: ca. 3 km round trip
Duration: ca. 1,5−2 hrs total
Altitude difference: ca. 150 meters
Suitable for children: high
Parking: at Danebu old ski slope (automatic toll, NOK 20,- in 2010)

Drive on E16 to Aurdal and exit towards Danebu (automatic toll). Park at the old ski slope. From there, a path leads up to Lake Fræningen (picnic area and bathing place) and further on to the top of Fjellenden. The path from there via Fjelltjernet to Storstølsnatten 1124 m is partly unclear and a little bit difficult to follow. From Storstølsknatten hold towards the southern shore of Fræningen, pass along side it and return back to your car. This nice round trip can also be done anti clockwise.
