From Fagernes, drive towards N.Etnedal and Fagernes airport. Continue to the Nythun Mountain Lodge. Parking fee (NOK 25 in 2010).
Walk along the gravel road towards Tveitastølen, on the opposite side of the main road. From there, a path will take you across Tveitastølfjellet (1043 m.s.l.) and continues to Jutulen. A Fantastic view overlooking Steinsetfjorden, Etnedalsfjella and the Synnfjell mountains. The route passes through some muddy and rocky areas.
Alternatively, you can drive all the way to Jutulstølen, (toll road NOK 45 in 2010). From there, follow a clear path in a westward arc to the top.
