Experience magnificent Arctic scenery close up and join us on our summer adventure to beautiful Isfjord Radio at Cape Linnè. We embark for Longyearbyen by boat, on our way we will have time to enjoy the fantastic fjord, the bird cliffs and the animal wildlife. Far away from the civilization in Longyearbyen you’ll discover a history, biological diversity and geological conditions which make Isfjord Radio a fascinating place to visit. The former radio station is situated at the outermost part of the Isfjord with majestic mountains overlooking the Arctic Ocean. In combination with our unique accommodation, you will enjoy a level of quality and comfort that is unexpected so far into the wilderness.

Included: Transport to and from Longyearbyen, necessary safety equipment, activities, accommodation and meals according to program, experienced guide with safety equpment
Own clothes and equipment: We recommend warm and windproof clothing. One small back pack per person (waterproof if possible), remaining luggage can be stored at Basecamp Spitsbergen. Remember to bring your camera and binoculars!

DAY 1 Our guide will meet you in the reception of Trappers Hotel at 17:00 pm. You will get information about the trip, equipment and outfit details. Transport to the quay, where our polarcircelboat is ready to start the safari tour towards Isfjord Radio. On the way, we have time to enjoy the fantastic fjord scenery, animal wildlife and Arctic seabirds. We spend the afternoon exploring the great area of Kapp Linné, and learn more about the wildlife at the station. We’ll be served a 3-course dinner in the evening. Accommodation in comfortable double rooms at Isfjord Radio.
DAY 2 Breakfast is served from 8.00 am. At 10:00 am we’ll board the boat for an exciting safari to the west side of the fjord. The route will go towards east along the coastline before crossing Isfjorden at Kapp Starostin and go straight to the mighty bird cliffs of Alkehornet with thousands of nesting birds. In Trygghamna we go ashore and enjoy expedition lunch at the beach. After lunch, we’ll have a closer look at the area before heading to the fantastic Esmark Glacier in Ymerbukta. If we are lucky, we might observe whales, seals or even get a glimpse of “king of the Artic”, the polar bear. In the evening a 3-course dinner is served at the restaurant at the Isfjord Radio. DAY 3 Breakfast is followed by a new day of adventure. We go for a walk along the fantastic coastline. The guide tells us stories about old hunters and their rough life at Spitsbergen. We will also learn more about the geology, flowers and animal life in the area. After a well deserved brake, we return to Isfjord Radio and a 2-course warm lunch before returning to Longyearbyen. Arrival in Longyearbyen approx 16:00.
