Snowmobile safari to the East Coast - Svalbard Adventures

Book

We guarantee a small group, maximum of 6 scooters and 9 participants. Join the kingdom of the polar bear and experience the arctic nature up close! The East coast is not affected by the Gulf Stream to the same extent as the west coast, temperatures are lower and there is a lot more ice. Polar bears live on the ice in search of seals and there is a good chance to see the mighty beast at a safe distance. The east coast is also known for its majestic glaciers and its unique landscape.

Join us on a journey into the untouched wilderness that is the East Coast. Here, in waters unaffected by the warmth of the Gulf Stream, the temperatures drop, and the sea ice extends as far as you can see. We eat an expedition lunch out on the sea ice, in front of the towering glacier fronts of Heuglinbreen and Hayesbreen, before crossing the bay to explore the land on the other side.

We drive through huge valleys, over snow-covered glaciers, and on the frozen sea in order to experience a world unchanged in thousands of years. We can see wildlife such as Svalbard reindeer, Arctic foxes or seals; if you are lucky then you might just spot the elusive polar bear, hunting in its natural environment. Our friendly and professional guides have all the experience and drive to make this an unforgettable experience, while remaining safe in such a wild and unforgiving environment.

We recommend that everyone drives their own snowmobile; this is easier than driving with a passenger. This trip is dependent on weather and ice conditions, especially early and late in the season, as well as a minimum number of participants.

Our snowmobiles have a industry leading fuel economy and are therefore one of the most environmentally friendly snowmobiles on the market.

- Touring snowmobile and fuel
