A mountain hike to a very beautiful settlement.

Description

Distance: 7km there and back.
Estimated time to the site: 50 minutes.
Suitable for: Most people.

Start and finish: Car park at Elvesletten at the south end of Blåfjellvann in Sandmark. Drive to Tovik, follow the sign from the intersection before Statoil petrol station (17.5km north of Tjeldsundbrua Kro and Hotel). Follow the road and the signposting straight ahead for approx 7km, turn left at the signpost and information board, across a small bridge. Follow the road to the car park.
Necessary equipment: None, but good walking boots is advisable.

Marked trail: ”Fotefar mot Nord” signposting along the entire path, good trail.

Drinking water and food: Sale of food and drinks by appointment – see website www.vilgesvarre.no. Good drinking water on site.

Route description: Ok path, a little steep at the start, easy, undulating birch terrain the last part. Very beautiful settlement with fishing lake, nature trail and peace and quiet.
