Description

Ramsfjell is Ramsvig Handelsstad’s new offer in Haukelifjell. From January 2011, committees and leader groups are welcome.
The cabin is made of pine tree from Ål in Hallingdal. It is located in Raudberg, in Vågslid, Vinje commune, almost 1000 meters over the sea. The cabin was built in 2009 and 2010 and it is located 10 minutes drive east from Haukeliseter fjellstue. Or three and a half hours from Stavanger, four hours from Oslo and three hours from Bergen.
The guests can drive directly into the cabin’s garage, where there is space for up to three cars. In the lower floor there are a ski stall, a living room with a fireplace, a gym, a drying room and a sauna with showers and toilette.
In the main room there are a TV room, a living room with a fireplace, a dining room/conference room, kitchen, three bedrooms and a bathroom with toilette. The second floor has three big bedrooms with alcove bed in Telemark style and toilette. In the annex above the garage there is a room with two beds and a toilette.
The cabin is protected from the western and northern wind by the mountain Raudberg. Sun over the mountains the whole year. From the cabin there is a panoramic view over Vågslidvannet. There are fantastic ski possibilities from Haukelifjell ski center. Marked trails to Hardangervidda run across the cabin’s west side. Put your skies on outside our door and enjoy the 65 kilometers long trail.

Ramsfjell has a rich activities offer, both in winter and in summer. Here there are tour possibilities with or without skies in marked trailers. If you decide to drive an hour on Haukeliveien E134 direction east, you will arrive to the ski port Morgedal. If you go west for about half an hour, you arrive to Røldal. There is a stave church that was a popular pilgrimage destination during the Middle Age. The history tells that there was a very strong bond between Telemark and Vestland, and the old traffic roads can still be found between East Telemark and Ryfylke.

It is possible to rent Ramsfjell on daily basis. The guest house can take up to 12 guests. The host Mette Hiorth Soland will be present during the stay and will coordinate the activities that the guests wish to do and the food arrangements. We do our best to make of your stay in Ramsfjell a memorable one.
