Description

Having been briefed and equipped we head out of Longyearbyen and towards the East coast of Spitsbergen. The trip takes you through the characteristic natural beauty of Svalbard, over wide plains and narrow valleys. We make plenty of stops underway - to admire the scenery, to give information on the local history, or simply turn off our engines and enjoy the silence of the white wilderness. Lunch en route. safari we. After a few hours we arrive to Storfjorden that often is covered by ice. Far away we can catch a glimpse of Edgeøya. Perhaps we'll also see The King of The Arctic out on the ice? Normally we choose a different route home, across other glaciers and through other valleys.
