Description

To access the Taumevatn cabin, its popular to start from Ådneram/Flatstødalen. During summer it is nice to cycle along the access road for the first 7 km to Eldsvatnet. Here you can park your bike and walk the last 5 km on the path up to the cabin.

The cabin is self-catered (cooking facilities and food), and may be rented from Stavanger Turistforening and has many bedrooms with their own small lofts. There are lakes to swim in nearby and some good fishing spots.
In the winter you can follow the cross country trails from Ådneram. The first 5 km follows machine groomed trails, and then follow the marked ski trails up Kregedalen. In extreme winters be alert to any threat of an avalanche at Ørnefjell (do not pass under this!), as well as Elsvasshei. Always follow the marked ski trails.
