Leslie Ayres is certified International Mountain Guide. IFMGA. Norwegian Fjellsportforum (NF) Mountain Leader.

Leslie has lived in Valdres since 1978, is English and speaks fluent English and Norwegian. He is very well acquainted with the local areas for climbing and skiing in Valdres.

Courses and guiding in Valdres, Hemsedal and Jotunheimen: 

Summer:
Rock climbing with different difficulties: Courses /guidance from 1-5 days.

Actual areas: Flaggberget at Leira, Heklefjellet og Bitihorn based at Beitostølen, (guiding and courses)

Other Areas: Hemsedal (Fossheims Ura and Skurvrefjell, also guiding on 2000m tops in Jotunheimen.

Winter:
Ice climbing with different difficulties: New beginners, intermediate and advanced. Courses / guidance from 1-5 days. Actual areas: Bagn (Valdres), Gol (Hallingdal).

Guided top tours with alpine tour equipment, (I day).

Avalanche courses: (2-3 days basic courses)

Basic beginners’ course, (1-2 days), about avalanches including snow profile, use of emergency radio sender, clothing, etc.

Actual Base: Beitostølen.

Prices: Courses/Mountain Guiding: (1-5 days)

Minimum price from NK 2.500,- per day, (dependent upon how many persons, type of activity, equipment and transport etc.)

Can also work as adviser for larger groups who plan trips into the mountains.

Lecture: “Tales From Stonefields” price kan be discussed.
