Description

Ogge is a paddling Eldorado with ample opportunities for fishing. Sale of fishing permits. Café, kiosk and 3 holiday cabins. Canoes for hire, including life jackets and maps.

Padling orienteering

Combine paddling and orienteering in lovely surroundings on Oggevatn, only 40 minutes by car from Kristiansand.

Have fun orienteering in the lake Oggevatn, find checkpoints scattered around on islands and in idyllic coves. On many of the islands in Oggevatn, 15 checkpoints have been put out, all visible from the water. Paddle around following the map, and "pick" checkpoints, between 1 June-1 October.

The checkpoints are marked in a map that you can obtain at Ogge Gjesteheim or Kristiansand & Oppland Trekking Association for NOK 150. The map is in an envelope which also contains the following useful items: A description of the arrangement, cards to write down control letters, advice and tips about paddling, canoe and kayak rental possibilities, Ogge Gjesteheim-brochure, and information from other partners in this project.

If you have a canoe or kayak yourself, park near Ogge Gjesteheim and use their dock to put it on water. Park sensibly, and it's nice if you ask for permission. Remember to use a paddling vest or life jacket.

There are many great places to spend a night in the Oggevatn islands. either in a tent or under the sky.

If you don't have your own canoe or kayak, this can be rented, together with a paddling vest, at Ogge Gjesteheim.
