Iveland is a typical agricultural and forestry community. Around 1,300 residents have 260 km2 to frolic in, so here is plenty of space and ample opportunities for outdoor activities and swimming.

Iveland and Evje area is internationally known for its unique geology and unique mineral wealth.

-Mining for many years has left hundreds of mines and quarries and in some of these are made to facilitate mineral tier to the public, mentioned can pinch Mine Area and Slobrekka Mines. Mineral Exploration in other mines requires permission from the mine owners. Iveland municipality's mineral collection is on display at the Municipal Iveland Birketveit.

In recent times, Iveland been known for its export of its tasty spring water, especially to the United States.

Iveland has great hiking areas with hiking trails and bike routes, including on Skisland. The stretch-Skisland Beihølen are gravel roads, and is part of Bicycle Route No. 3 (see separate bike brochure). National Cycle Route 3 runs from Denmark, of Hirtshals to Kristiansand and up Setesdal to Haukeligrend. By car you can also turn off from highway 403 at Skaiå against Kile and continue to Røyknes. Here are Nomeland dam with Nomeland power station from 1920. The venerable building houses even the old turbines and generators and is an important part of the power of story in the Otra.

Ogge lake is located in Iveland is a paddling paradise. Ogge Guest House has canoe rentals, fishing permits, food and accommodation in cabins.

Iveland and Vegusdal Museum can be found by taking off from highway 405 just north of Water and Power to Vetrhus Eikeland. It is open on Sundays during the summer with an exhibition of Archaeology, equipment, furniture, textiles and books, including Christian III and Frederick II's Bibles from 1550 and 1589. Here is the farm with Engesland house and five other old houses.
