Description

Our hotel is located on the west side of Smøla, an island on the Norwegian westcoast. Surrounded by hundreds of smaller islands and rocks, and the open sea a minute away, you get an overwhelming feeling of closeness to nature. Still you have direct access by car. Our rooms are comfortable and rustic, with modern bathrooms. TV and wireless internet included in every room. The hotel opened in march 2008, with new buildings. Some materials from an old boathouse is included in the interior design.

We can offer different activities, suited for your needs. You can even just relax. Fishing, nature experiences, bird watching, biking, explore the windmill park, visit our lavvo, or see local exhibitions and museums are some of your possibilities. If you want to paddle we have free kayaks to your disposal. An outdoor wood heated hot tub with sea view is perfect for relaxing. Local food and cuisine is of course a part of our menu.

Three rooms are available for social gatherings and meetings, included a conference room for 20 persons. We have wireless internet and projector. At certain events you may want to rent the whole system for larger social meetings with friends or family.

Boating

M/S Mathilde is our 34-foot modern fishing boat, certified for 12 passengers. We can take you deep sea fishing with a local skipper. Or you can be guided in the archipelago, see previously active fishing villages, or look for see eagles. Meals can be served on board on longer trips. The boat has a comfortable saloon, spacious afterdeck, three sleeping cabins, and a small bathroom with WC. You should bring warm and water resistant clothing, whatever season of the year. We have life jackets.

If you want to experience the archipelago on your own, you can rent our 18-foot fishing boat.
