Description

Farthest out and overlooking the waters of Folla we find Abelvær. This property, with its trading post and accompanying farm, has been owned by the Brantzæg family since 1802. Abelvær Gård offers overnight accommodation in well-equipped, self-contained apartments (2 or 4 bedrooms), or in rooms of good standard in the shop building.

The “Styrmanden” inn serves a good lunch or dinner for up to 20 people when booked in advance. At your request we will gladly recount the history of the place, the buildings and the activities that were conducted here. We can also help you with other arrangements in the local district (car, boat or RIB). Great area for sailing, kayaking, canoeing and deep-sea fishing. There is also a good marina and white beaches for the hardier visitor.
