Description

Take a pleasant mountain trip to Lindeknuten in Tovdal, Southern Norway. There is about a one-hour trip to the top, 860 metres above sea level. At the top, threre is a military building, with a cairn and a guestbook. The short trip is easy, suitable for children and adults.

Drive past Hillestad Galleri in Tovdal and turn right at the signpost to Hillestadheia. It is approximately 5.5 km from the main road to the large carpark, where you also find the information board with a map of the trail.

NB! Hillestadheia charges a road fee including parking of NOK 50. Alternatively, you can take the waymarked trail from Hillestad Galleri up to Lindeknuten, but this trail has a difficult climb. The distance is then 7 km, and the trip is approximately 4 hours (return trip).
