Description

Excavations show that the first mountain lodges in Hjerkinn were situated here.
In the 1930s and 1980s there were excavations, and findings show that people have lived here from the viking-era and the time around the black plague.
Amongst other things an amulet of led with runes, a silver-coin from Olav Kyrres time and arrowheads from the year 1100 were found.
The base of the buildings has been rebuildt.
