Description

In the past we had no trucks or infrastructure to transport the valuable the timber from the deep forests to the mills, sawmills and mines. The timber was instead floated on water and waterways.

Turskredder'n takes you on a fascinating adventure towards Røros and give you the unique history of this valuable resources that was essential for the mines around the mining town. We let ourselves down the historic waters of the wilderness and towards mining town as floating logs, where the workers safeguarded the timber for several hundred years ago.

Our competent and experienced guides will make sure you have a safe journey. We start the tour with a safety briefing and an introduction to the basic paddling techniques. You need warm and waterproof clothing to be prepared for a long day on the river. During the day you may get wet - the kayaks are very stable, but can tip.

During the trip, we eat lunch along the riverbank. We serve local food and coffee around the campfire with some supplementary treats.

Duration - about 5 hours

Price - from 1195 NOK per person

Included in the price is guiding, rental of kayak, spray skirt, veins and west and lunch with coffee or tea and a treat.
