Description

Summer is the strawberry season, and nothing tastes better than sun -ripened berries in July. Did you know that without the bees, we would not have been able to enjoy the delicious berries? Our new exhibition at the Norwegian Museum of Horticulture has been named "Bees and flowers - the ecological interplay". The display focuses n the interaction between bees and flowers, and the importance in order for us to be able to harvest strawberries and numerous other fruits and berries.

Dømmesmoen, the beautiful park in which the Norwegian Museum of Horticulture is located, is abundant in flowers, towering trees providing cool, shady areas and heritage dating back to prehistoric times. Furthermore, the museum grounds comprise beds of roses and herbs with a varity of different plants, as well as an apple orchard featuring a number of Norwegian varieties. Museum shop and cafè.
