The city plays host to different festivals throughout the year. The annual «Olavsfestdagene» is Norway’s biggest church and culture festival.

Restaurants in Trondheim

There are plenty good restaurants in Trondheim. The proximity to the sea makes the distance short to find great fish and shellfish experiences.

The Stjørdal River

The Stjørdal River, with its tributaries Forra and Sona, offers 85 kilometres of high quality fishing. It has many similarities with the River Tweed.

Skansen railway bridge

Trains from Røros and Oslo cross the preserved Skansen railway bridge just before arriving at Trondheim Central Station.

Bakklandet

When you leave the city centre («Midtbyen») and cross the Old Town Bridge, you arrive in Bakklandet – a picturesque and popular part of Trondheim.
