Getting to Rondane National Park and around

Mysuseter, Høvringen and Grimsdalen are all important gateways to Rondane. These are all easily accesible from the main road E6.

Rondane is the oldest national park in Norway. The park was established in 1962 to preserve the nature and the living areas of the wild reindeer.

Rondane National Tourist Route

A peaceful drive on fv. 27 between Sollia Church and Folldal is an excellent alternative to the main routes through Gudbrandsdalen and Østerdalen.

What to do in Rondane National Park

Hiking in summer and skiing in the winter are favourite actvities. Rafting, horse riding, biking, hunting and fishing are other popular activities.

All the hotels and lodges, and most of the staffed cabins serve locally inspired food for hikers and skiers – summer and winter.
