Description

Jostedalsbreen glacier is the largest glacier on Europe's mainland. We invite you to join a 3-day skiing tour from north to south. Jostedalsbreen is also called Norway's roof, much because the breathtaking view from up there.

The first day is rather a hard climb, but in return you have covered most of the ascent. We overnight in Stålskaret close to Lodalskåpa.

The next day goes along the glacier plateau. When the weather is nice you have a fantastic view to the fjords and Jotunheimen National Park.

On the third day we pass Bings hollow, a fascinating wind phenomenon where the glacier is at its narrowest. From there it is all downwards to Flatbrehytta cabin, and the a steep descent to Fjærland and a green fertile spring.

Price: Please contact us for price. Max 8 participants per guide. Included is a local glacier guide and loan of necessary glacier equipment. Fodd, transportation and equipment for the winter mountain you have to have on your own, but Bre og Fjell helps with the coordination of equipment and transportation.
