Description

On a small island just outside haugesund town centre the viking ship draken harald hårfagre is under construction. Building commenced in March 2010 and has brought together norway’s leading experts in the field of traditional boatbuilding and square sails. the vessel is 35 metres long and is the largest to be built in modern times. it will be launched in the summer of 2012 and commences upon a round-the-world voyage in 2013 manned by an international crew. see www.vikingkings.com for more info.
