Guided boat trip to Kvinnefossen- Kvamsøy

Contact information

Description

The tour starts at the harbor in Balestrand. First stop is the mighty Kvinafossen, a waterfall that falls 120 meters stright down. From here the trip goes along Vangsnes with a great view of the Fridtjov statue and on to the island Kvamsøy.
This is a small island of a shallow bay - here it was common to stop and wait for the weather when boats were the most common transportation.
It was allso a trading post. The island is also regarded as the smallest in the world with a church.
More about the church here  If desirable, we can land at the island and look around, it is also possible to enter the church on request.
On the return we run along the shore towards Balestrand and we see the dragon-and Swiss style villas from the sea side, before the tour ends.

The trip takes aprox. 2 hours.
