Description

The Coastal Trail between Straumsjøen and Spjelkvågen is about 8 km long and is marked (2007). The trail runs through varied terrain and is for the most part easy hiking. At normal walking speed, with generous breaks, the whole trip takes 5-6 hours. Enjoy the view out over the open ocean!
The first leg of the trip, just under 2 km, is on an old road, which is smooth enough to permit even taking along a baby pram. The regional tourist office at Sortland has a guide to this trail with a map!
