You can start either from Bortelid or from Ljosland, and in high season it is possible to book a boat to take you across Lake
Langevatnet (recommended!). Please contact KOT (tel. no.: +47 38 02 52 63) for further information.

The cabin at Gaukhei is staffed during the summer, and in this period you can even get a hot supper there!

After spending the night at Gaukhei, many people
choose to continue to Josephsbu (an unstaffed cabin), which is an easy day’s walk away. From there, you can return to Ljosland via Pytten, to complete anunforgettable circuit!
