Hike from sea to summit
The tour takes us up through the Louise Valley towards Caroline Valley. Here we see quite lush vegetation for Svalbard, providing good feed for our endemic reindeer. We will also see many remnants from the earliest mining efforts in Advent City. At the end of the valley we will head up onto the Forkastnings Mountain, where we can enjoy the incredible views over the whole Isfjord. The glaciers are placed like pearls on a string, from the Nordenskiöld glacier in the north, to the western bays ending with Trygghamna.

This is a reasonably demanding hike which covers about 10 kilometres with about 400 metres of elevation. On Forkastnings Mountain we will traverse a lofty shoulder, but the terrain is generally easy. The guide will bring a light lunch and warm drinks.
