Saga is a creative center with accommodation along the Golden Road in Inderøy, beautifully situated at the beginning of the Borgenfjorden and surrounded by Norway's most stunning cultural landscapes.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION "BLÅTONE" by Wenche Dahle and Lars Andreas Dybvik: When two photographers come together to collaborate, two worlds collide. What happens when you take an expressive form with strong traditions in art history and apply it to contemporary nature photography? This is what nature photographers Wenche Dahle (b.1969) and Lars Andreas Dybvik (b.1971) have explored in their collaborative project "Blåtone - diptych by Wenche Dahle and Lars Andreas Dybvik."

Blue notes in music are often perceived as dissonant ("sour" or "false"). The term is associated with blues and jazz, but not least folk music. Blue notes are created by raising or lowering a tone (bending) perhaps only a half tone from another. Such tones create friction in the interplay. And that is precisely what happens in the diptychs in this project.

Each work is composed of a physical image from each photographer, mounted together in a frame. This makes each work unique, as it is not digitally assembled and thus not 100% reproducible. There is craftsmanship in both the production of the exhibition and the photographs themselves. The tension between the works and the way they are assembled adds depth to the art experience and becomes part of the visual communication with the viewer.

DEBUTANT GALLERY: This year's graduation exhibition presents 6 different photo projects by Anita Price, Kjersti Holst, Tori Tollefsen, Torolf Vågan, Anne Sofie Stumo, and Siri Brandshøi. The photographers have completed NORDphotography's Mentor Program 2022 in Oslo, which is an 11-month program where each photographer develops their own project under the guidance of NORDphotography and SAGA's founder, Elisabeth N Aanes. The projects encompass architecture, samba, mental health, and the pulse of life.

Summer Exhibition 2023 Opening Hours: June 13nd - August 18th - Tuesday - Sunday: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Closed on Mondays.

Welcome to an extraordinary photography experience in Inderøy!
