Description

The oldest hotel in Setesdal is beautifully located in central Evje, by the river Otra, and has a large outdoor terrace and restaurant.

The hotel is situated 60 km from Kristiansand, 80 km from Arendal, 200 km from Stavanger and 330 km from Oslo. The building is protected, and following a fire in 1917, it was rebuilt in 1921. Ever since the original hotel was set up on these premises in 1998, Hotel Dølen has been a natural place to stop for people travelling between the eastern and western part of Norway. The hotel has 12 rooms with bathroom, including 3 family rooms. All the rooms have a flatscreen TV and DVD player, and free WLAN access.
The restaurant is fully licenced and offers à la carte dining from Tuesday through Saturday during the summer season, i.e. May to mid August. (For overnight guests, the restaurant is open all year round.)
With the possibility of seating more than 100 guests, the Sunday buffet at Hotel Dølen is one of the largest in this part of Norway. Available from 13.00 to 18.00 every Sunday.
