Description

Treskjerartunet was established as a workshop by Sjur Mørkve (1917-2007). Today his children Arne and Bergfrid Mørkve, and son-in-law Geir Nymark carry on the tradition in Myrkdalen.

Today, there are very few people with woodcarving as their profession. Treskjerartunet is an important carrier of the tradition, which protects the knowledge and interpretation of this craft heritage.
