Description

The two kilometre long moraine ridge known as Trollgarden was deposited when the icecap that had covered the entire region retreated about 9700 years ago. The moraine resembles a long, drystone wall.

Trollgarden is rather remote. To see this fascinating moraine, you need to set aside a full day, bring along food for your hike, and extra clothes suitable for a change in weather.

Duration: An all-day hike (8 hours round trip)

Parking: The innermost parking lot at Fundingsland
