The annual Cherry Festival is an important local happening in the cherry season, celebrating not just the fruit, but also beeing an important social event for the locals. The festival offers music, dancing, bbq, and more. One of the most important fatures of the event is the national competition of cherry pit spitting. The national record in cherry pit spitting is an incredible14.24 meters!
