Description

Nice walk to a viewpoint over Årdal. The walk up the side of the mountain follows a tractor road, as soon as you hit the ridge, you should take off onto a somewhat poorly visible, but marked trail that follows this ridge to the Nipen. If you can read the attached topographic map, you should be able to find this without problem.

From the viewpoint, the beautiful agricultural landscape in Årdal comes out well. Not hard to imagine that there has been settlement in this lush valley for thousands of years. You'll also see the Årdalsfjorden.

This walk is suitable for the entire family, but the smallest children probably will enjoy a stroll in the nearby Fairytale Forest better.
