On the first Saturday in September over 2000 ladies assemble before starting the walk with great view to Gaustatoppen all the way.

Busses are arranged to and from Rjukan and many exciting activities are organised in the town.

There is also an opportunity to shop on the Kjerringtorget market or to eat an elegant meal at one of the towns restaurants while waiting for the evenings cultural events to begin.
