Description

Tingvatn historical park and visitor center consists of large display centre, café, museum shop and a tour desk. The type of exhibitions will alternate from season to season. As of November 2011 will be the exhibition "Fever and Communities" substitute with the exhibition "Your Majesty" which is about the moose in all variations.

You can see the Viking sword in the visitor center. This is a spectacular sword from Snartemo which is the most famous find from the rich migration period in Agder. The discovery is famous far beyond Norway's borders and is the most noble expression of the warrior aristocracy.

There is free admission for all opening times.

Opening times:

Saturday and Sunday from 12-16

From 20. June – 16. August, open everyday from 12-17
From 17. August – 27. September, saturday and sunday from 12-16
From 28. september – 27. December, sundays from 12-16
