Historic trip to the mines: 
Magma Geopark takes you on a historic guided tour through the history of the mining industry. You will visit abandoned and active mines in Magma Geopark. On one day you could visit natural stone quarries, one of Norway's largest mines and abandoned mines after your own request. 
Magma Geopark can tailor-make your mining adventure. 




Example of a possible guided tour of the mines: 
1) You will be picked up at Ogna station in the morning, from here the trip contrinues to a natural stone quarry and you will get to see how natural stone is recovered today. From here, you visit the abandoned mines in Blåfjell in Sokndal and you will hear the fascinating mining history, as well as getting to see one of the most well kept and preserved mines from this period in time. Furthermore, you could go on to visit the Titania - one of the world's largest ilmenite mines occurrences before the trip is finished with an easy hike to Gursli mines in Lund. Here you will get lunch at Sogndalstrand Kulturhotell. The entire trip, including lunch, guide for the entire day and the bus: NOK 1100 per person (minimum of 10 people). 



Other fascinating mines to visit:
Ørsdalen and Gudlen in Bjerkreim, or in combination with boat trip with M/S Ørsdølen, or Kolldal and Ankerhus mines in Egersund.
