Description

Welcome to the country's largest family attraction. Kristiansand Zoo is a paradise for everyone. Here, children shout in fright and delight. The whole family can marvel together over natures richness.

The zoo is a place for fun, laughter and learning. You can go on a safari in Africa, where the most exotic animals are gathered. In the fog forest, you will walk through live snakes and reptiles of many kinds. In the Nordic Wilderness, wolverine, wolf, lynx and moose will pop up behind the pine trunks.

In the city of Kardemomme you can meet Aunt Sophie, police master Bastian and the three robbers in the middle of broad daylight during the summer season.

Kutoppen is an old fashioned farm with real farm animals. Children can pet the goats, chickens and calves. Here the children also become familiar with the Mosque, Chickolina and the other characters from Kutoppen universe.

Captain Sabertooth
The show plays in the highseason at 23.00. Tickets ordered at www.dyreparken.no or by calling 815 33 900

During high season Captain Sabertooth and his men are found during the day in Captain Sabertooth's world in the zoo.

Africa
We can offer powerful experiences with African wildlife, culture and atmosphere in safe surroundings. You can pet the goats and pigs in the African village and see the majestic lions up close. Come and visit your two and four-legged friends in the zoo, and become familiar with the lions.

Kardemomme town
Karedemomme town is built exactly as it was designed in Thorbjørn Egners books. Here you can go up in Tobias's tower, see the lion that the robbers hold prisoner or try tasting the bakers delicious buns. In high season the city is brought to life by actors who represent the residents of the city.
The three robbers entertain in Kardemomme town weekends and holidays from 30th of April until the 17th of June.
The inhabitants of Kardemomme town entertain every day from 18 June - 7 August.
Kardemomme party each afternoon at 17:30 in city park during the period between 23th of June - 5th of August.

Pirate Ships
Join the cruise with pirate ships, "The Black Woman" and "Countess". The ships sail regularly from early morning to evening. Show up at the pier in Captain Sabertooth's World to join the expedition.

The animals
We have over 140 different animal species from all over the world. Here we have the Nordic animals like the wolverines, wolves and lynx. Other animals like tropical snakes, spiders, exotic animals such as the Siberian tiger, the orangatang, savannah animals including lion, giraffe, and elanantilope - to name a few.

Activities
Dreggen, formerly called Storslegga, is a pendulum carousel where you really get to experience a shimmering combination of height, rotation, and G-forces. You should also try the Nile (formerly known as Tømmerrenna), which gives a proper thrilling experience. The whole family can enjoy themselves on the jungle trail, and in the least test themselves as drivers on the car track.

JungelBob
Our old bobsledding track is history. This year we are opening a brand new bobsledding attraction, which we have called JungelBob. This goes full speed down the steep slopes and through sharp curves!

Opening hours for the zoo
Open from 10.00 am each day of the year. The gates are closed between 15 and 19, depending on season and weekday. In high season the park is open daily from 10 am until 19
