This music festival was established in 1982, which makes it the oldest in Norway. The local Rock Club is behind this successful festival that plays genre rock, acoustic and alternative music.

Description

This music festival was established in 1982, which makes it the oldest in Norway. The local Rock Club is behind this successful festival that plays genre rock, acoustic and alternative music.

The target groups are teenagers and young adults from 15 to 25 years of age, but everybody is welcome. It is considered a family festival. However, there is a beer tent on the premises. The festival commences on the Thursday with Club concerts at the local hotell Maritim. The festival then moves to the park «Fjellparken» which is one kilometer west of the town center. The Fjellpark festival offers a cultural event and at the same time it motivates and inspires local artists, some of which has made a name for themselves in Norway. Last year 2,000 people visited the festival. For more information, please check out www.fjellparkfestivalen.no. There is camping opportunities not far from the festival premises.
