Description

Nyvågar Rorbuhotell is right in the middle of that special, quiet moment that you always long for, beautifully situated by the ocean, in Storvågan - 1 kilometer west of Kabelvåg and 6 kilometers west of Svolvær.

Our comfortable and spacious fisherman`s shacks are 50 sq. m., on to levels, and hold 2 bedrooms each with 2 beds. Bathroom with shower and toilet, a small kitchen with seating for six persons. Living room with TV set.

Food is experience, wellbeing and the flavour of the place where you are staying. Nyvågar Rorbuhotell goes after local commodities, all year round. Examples are Lamb from Lofoten or spawning cod fished in the Vestfjorden. For us it is just natural, utilizing the abundancy of commodities right outside the doorstep. Bacalao, spawning cod or dried fish, it is all your choice!

The ocean is the main activity starting point when you are staying with us: Deep sea rafting, using a boat with a good 250 hp engine, explore the islands of Vestfjorden, listen to tales from the area. Try fishing from the traditional Lofoten ferry (Lofotferga), with a fully licensed bar, and where the captain also is your own local guide, showing you where to catch fish. Have dinner on deck while enjoying the nice sea and Lofotmountain scenery. Not more than 6 km away you will find an activity center, or if you play golf; a fantastic golf course is waiting for you along coast of Gimsøya, one of many Lofoten islands. Gallery Espolin Johnson, the Lofoten Aquarium and Lofoten Museum are our next door and only neighbours.

Nyvågar Rorbuhotell is a part of Classic Norway.
