Henrik Ibsen is the major Norwegian dramatist and one of the founders of modern theater. He was a great innovator in creating the new female character or The New Woman. In Ibsen’s plays, women who do not fit in their archetypical roles picture as uncanny and bizarre characters. This project, by Sahar Ajami, is designed to picture a contemporary portrait of Ibsen’s women by the aim of illustration as a powerful media.
Vernissage and exhibition opening Thursday 4 August.
