Description

Join us on a spectacular guided three day hike in the majestic Lyngen Alps.

This mountain chain stretches more than 90 km and dominates the beautiful Lyngen Peninsula. You will see mountain peaks rising more than 1000 m directly from the fjord, blue glaciers, cascading rivers, gleaming mountain lakes and Arctic wildlife. This is an extremely popular destination for extreme skiers and mountaineers.

After a scenic transfer from Tromsø, we set off on a fantastic adventure from the valley of Steindalen. During this three-day hike, we will cover around 20 km including hiking up Rastebyfjell and down to the Lyngen Valley, where we pass two glaciers and the highest peak in the Lyngen Alps, Jiehkivarri (1833 m above sea level).

This is not a demanding hike and is suitable for all hiking enthusiasts with a normal level of fitness. The experienced, English-speaking guides look forward to sharing their extensive knowledge about the area’s history and culture.

Included:
All meals (one hot and two cold meals per day), basic but nourishing food based on local ingredients, served in the wilderness
Return transfers from Tromsø
Two nights in the Lyngen Alps (staying in tents or wilderness cabins, depending on route)
Crampons, harnesses, ice axes and safety equipment
The services of experienced, professional guides

We recommend you to bring: hiking boots, raincoat, backpack, a water bottle and warm clothing.
