Description

Stay at one of the most social places in Bergen!

Intermission Hostel is built around the principle of community.

This is not a hotel where everyone stays in their own room and never sees each other; instead, it is a place where people of 5 different nationalities cook their dinner at the same time, where traveling experiences are shared over evening waffles in our lounge, and where conversations are struck up in line for a shower during morning “rush hour”.

Intermission is a place where life-long friendships are formed, and who knows, if you are looking, you might meet your future spouse here – it has happened before!

Intermission Hostel have 39 beds in one coed dormitory, separated into “semi-private” sections of 6. Over the years, we have learned that while it may look intimidating at first sight, people tend to make really good friends living at close quarters.

The reception is open from 7 in the morning until midnight.

Amenities:

- Free fully equipped kitchen
- Free washing machines and dryers
- Free waffles on Monday and Thursday nights (a NOT-TO-BE-MISSED Norwegian specialty!)
- A beautiful garden free for you to enjoy

- Breakfast for NOK 30
- Bring your own sleeping bag or borrow sheets from us.

* ONLINE BOOKING OF BED IN DORMITORY:

Transportation

On foot: From the train station, we're a two minute walk away. Stand with your back to the trains and turn right out of the station. Walk one block (up a small hill). Turn right and walk until you get past the old city gate in the middle of the street, you will find Intermission in a big white building on the left side of the street. By public transportation: From the bus station, we're a four minute walk away. However, bus number 2,3, and 11 stop very near the house. By car: Follow route 585 until you get to the old city gate. If you are coming into town, we're right before the gate, on your right. If you are coming from downtown, we're on your left right past the gate. There's limited free parking in the courtyard in front of the house.
