Gallery Empathy's Summer Exhibition has traditionally many artists and techniques - painting, watercolor, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics and glass works.
For the first time Gallery Empathy present the art of multi-talented Bob Walkenhorst of Kansas City. For many, Bob Walkenhorst is primarily known for being the frontman, songwriter and singer of the legendary band - The Rainmakers. In 2013 he held his first art exhibition on Norwegian soil by Brekstad Culture Festival, as with acrylic paintings. Most of Bob's paintings are deeply connected to his songs. Subjects are agricultural implements, forests and people from the Midwest of the United States, and from the small town where Bob grew up, the favorite themes of both songs and paintings. At this exhibition, placing it only with watercolors with motifs inspired by Norwegian nature of their tours around Norway, - both summer and winter moods. "Songs about words and sounds," says Bob, "but paintings about silence, and to find a language that does not use words."
