Description

Hurdal is a delightful place for those who enjoy sports and outdoor activities, both in summer and in winter. Here you’ll find Hurdalsjøen, Lake Hurdal, rich in fish and beautiful beaches. We can also offer a number of hikes and excursions, whether you’re walking or cycling.

How about a horseback ride through the forest? There is also Hurdal Skisenter, a ski resort with 10 slopes and 4 lifts, Romerike Bakkesenter (a ski jump centre), as well as prepared ski trails across the entire municipality. The ski trails are connected all the way to Eidsvoll and continue as far as Nordmarka. The Spark (Kicksled) World Championship was held on 9 February in 2013. With 92% of the municipality covered by woods and plains, Hurdal is one of Norway’s most forested municipalities, with plenty of evergreen forests. In the Fjellsjøkampen nature reserve you can hike to Fjellsjøkampen – the highest point in Akershus at 812 metres above sea level. Vesleelvfossen is the highest waterfall in Akershus and has a free fall of about ten metres. It’s just a stone’s throw from Skrukkelivegen.

Hurdal offers a variety of conference centres as well, making it a place for work, pleasure and recreation in beautiful natural settings – just one short hour from Oslo and 25 minutes from Gardermoen Airport.
