Getting to Rjukan

Rjukan is located between Oslo in the east and the famous Norwegian fjords in the west.


The vast mountain plateau of Hardangervidda is one of Europe's largest. It is also home to Northern Europe’s largest stock of reindeer.

Hiking in Rjukan

There is a variety of marked trails in the mountains of Rjukan. The Gaustatoppen Mountain and the old saboteurs' route are recommended.
