Description

Museum of modern and contemporary Art at Høvikodden, 15 minutes west of Oslo. The museum was opened in 1968 and made possible by a generous donation from art collectors Sonja Henie and Niels Onstad.

The museum hosts temporary exhibitions as well as the Henie Onstad collection, which includes works by Picasso, Matisse, Beuys, Christo and famous Norwegian artists such as Weidemann. Here you can also see figure skater Sonja Henie's fantastic prize collection.

Museum shop, library, sculpture park and café/restaurant.

Guided group tours are available all year round.

Closed 17 May, Christmas and New Year's. Reduced opening hours at Easter.

Free shuttle bus from Oslo and Sandvika every hour Monday-Saturday. Timetable at www.hok.no.
