Svandalen is an excellent walking area during the summer. Sauda Tourist Information Office has maps of Svandalen and other good walking areas in the Sauda area.

Svandalen in Sauda, Ryfylke, offers great skiing in winter - on alpine slopes, prepared tracks and off-piste. There are options to suit both beginners and more experienced skiers. One of the biggest Alpine-skiing centre in Rogaland lies in Svandalen. Several high-capacity ski tows transport you 2 kilometres up the mountain. You have a choice between several routes down - on the alpine slopes and on prepared cross- country tracks.
