Description

The waterfall known as Honganvikfossen seems beautifully suspended above the northern end of the Saudafjord in Ryfylke. Many know the falls under a different name, Brudesløret (the bridal veil), and it is particularly striking in the spring and in the autumn – when greater quantities of water flow. You can see the waterfall from trunk road Fv. 520, part of the Ryfylke Road, just before the road between Sauda and Ropeid enters a tunnel. If you wish to dwell on the scenic experience, take the turnoff that leads you to the foot of the falls.
