Description

The charming town Skudeneshavn is situated at the southernmost tip of the island Karmøy.

The “old town” consists of 130 well preserved wooden, white houses originating from the 1800’s, when the herring-fishing was at its peak.

Skudefestival - the largest gathering of coastal culture in Western Norway with boats of all categories; old wooden boats, veteran boats, modern boats, sailing boats and tall ships. The town is full of life all around the harbour. There are markets stalls in the town square and art exhibitions in Søragadå, Old Skudeneshavn. Craftsmen demonstrate handcrafts from olden days connected to sea and shipping. There is entertainment during daytime and in the evenings - with local as well as national artists.
