Description

Byrkjedalstunet is a hotel where the food, history and the earth, together with genuine experiences is central. Byrkjedalstunet also has a candle factory. Here are Norwegian-produced and handmade candles along with local art and interior goods.

 Manager of CULTURE
Nature, beautiful building, cooking, wine and comfort linked together, creating a sensual impression. Here you can stay in picturesque houses built in the exact same style as the houses that stood in the area in the 1800s. The rich details in objects, decorations and colors creates an evocative journey back in time, despite the fact that comfort is state of the art. This hotel and restaurant span from the warm and cozy home, to the spectacular and unique.

Breathtaking scenery
Byrkjedalstunet hotel is surrounded by beautiful scenery and is an excellent starting point for fine nature experiences.  Lysefjord, Preikestolen/Pulpit Rock, Månafossen waterfall, Gloppedalsura scree and the magnificent Jæren is all within your reach. We are known for good, traditional Norwegian food and serve everything from Traditional norwegian meals to the finest banquet cuisine. In 1999, our restaurant voted the year's roadside diner and the regional winners of the "Ganefart" competition (a food competition) of 2008.
