Tryggvi Icelandic Horsefarm offers guided riding on Icelandic horses i varied terrain and pace, depending on the rider's experience. We offer from one to one and a half hour trips for less experienced riders, and from one and a half to two hours trips for more experienced riders.

We require groups to consist of no less than two riders per trip. The minimum age limit for inexperienced riders is 10 - 12 years of age. The rider's weight can not exceed 95 kg or 210 lbs.
Our guides have got extensive experience with Icelandic horses and their gaits.

The rider is responsible for acquiring his or her own insurance in case of injury. Trips must be booked in advance.

To reach us, you can take a plane, boat, train, bus or car to Stavanger or Sandnes. If you do not have a car you can take the bus from Stavanger to Sandnes, and then bus number 22 from Sandnes to Kverneland, and get off the bus at Sivilforsvaret, which is 200 meters from the farm. Alternatively, you can take the local train to Ganddal. From there you must calculate approximately 20 minutes walk to the farm.

We arrange trips every weekday during school summer holidays, and in weekends and other school holidays throughout the year.
